Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the pewag Servo RS Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains on the 2021 Kia Forte. This is gonna be your diamond pattern style tire chain, and it's gonna give you that really smooth ride and that awesome traction. As compared to your ladder style tire chain, that's gonna be a lot more bumpy, you're gonna have your dips in your valleys, 'cause it's gonna be chain, tire, chain, tire, but with a diamond pattern, you have a lot more coverage, and it's mostly just the chain on the snow or ice. The square links add that extra traction and to break through the ice, especially compared to the roller style, those are gonna give you a smoother ride, but these are just solid and it's gonna give you that extra traction. So some of the things I like about these pewags is the coating on the chains right here towards the rim, just extra protection against your rim right there, and I do like the simple installation, I wouldn't mind doing this outside in the weather as opposed to your ladder style chains where you'd have to go on your stomach or your back and reach around there. Very quick and simple to install, and I like the self-tensioning mechanism right here, you don't have to purchase a separate self-tensioner, it's just all included in the package here, as well as some more added protection for your rim with these covers right here. more

Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Kia Forte- Video

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Konig CB12 Snow Tire Chains on the 2021 Kia Forte. This is your diamond pattern style snow chain, and while it is going to give you a much smoother ride than your ladder style, it's also gonna give you a lot better traction, because with your ladder style, it's chain, tire, chain, so there's gonna be a bump, a hill in a valley, but with your diamond style, you're just gonna have constant traction with the chains. It is a D-link shape, so it's gonna be really good at breaking through that ice, as well as it being made out of a nickel manganese alloy steel, it's gonna make it nice and durable as well as corrosion resistant. Another thing that I like about these Konigs are that they have highlighted red touch points, so when you're outside and everything's gray and snowy and wet, you know exactly what you need to be able to secure your entire chain. And they do have a coating on the chains that are nearest to your rim to provide extra protection, but it's doing a really good job actually at maintaining its clearance right here. So with my Kia here being a nice compact sedan, there's gonna be limited spacing between our wheel and the strut here, so with these Konigs being Class S compatible, it has a nice low profile, that is a great solution for our Kia here. more
